This man in this painting is taking a sweet nap holding onto his A-frame under a tree.  He might have been working or walking early part of the day.  He is dressed in Korean traditional commoner's white clothing and wearing straw shoes, which was very typical in old Korea.  The yellow in the background illustrates both the warmth in the state of his mind and the red/yellow clay in the country side of Korea. It is a peaceful and lyrical painting that portrays the simple life of commoner in Korea.
